Conclusion
By running this project of operating our own business, we obtained many benefits and gained a lot of knowledge on entrepreneurship.
1. We learned how to build a good teamwork by giving our best cooperation to work together. As all of us come from different backgrounds and have different opinions, we have to listen attentively to various point of views from different team members and brainstorm together when it comes to making important decisions.
2. We managed to polish our communication and customer service skills. By selling tarts, we were able to interact with customers who are keen to purchase our tarts, as well as those who have less interest. By persuading customers to make purchases, we learned how to better communicate with customers, as well as providing good customer service.
3. We also gained insights on how to run an actual business. Even though this is just a small business, we had the opportunity to experience what it feels like to be an entrepreneur. This project provided us an eye-opening, hands-on entrepreneurial experience which may be useful in our future endeavours.
4. This project allowed us to think critically and helped to develop our problem-solving skills. Throughout the whole project, we faced several challenges and problems related to the business, which gave us the opportunity to practice our critical thinking skills. We came out with solutions which later contributed to the success of our project.
5. Lastly, this project taught us how to recognize a business opportunity. The reason behind of our decision to sell tarts is because none of the cafeteria stalls are selling tarts in IUMW. From our observation, many people love to eat tarts, therefore we grabbed this opportunity to start this small business.
